Here are pictures of my Christmas decorating. (on a very low budget.)
So these are some of my pinterest inspired decorations!
The Twig Wreath – non-traditional and I love it!
T-shirts and Jeans. T-shirts and yoga pants. Well, I love my t-shirts but as you can see from the mess in my drawer that it got hard to remember which t-shirts I had because the drawer was packed.
Fold and organize my t-shirts a new way.
1.) First, Start with a t-shirt ( I know, duh) 😉
2.) Next, Fold the t-shirt in half the long way
3. ) Fold it again long ways
4.) Flip it over and turn down the top and bottom a quarter (this is not a must but if you have a design on the t-shirt it works out where you can see the design when you put it in the drawer)
5.) Finally, Fold it unto each other.
6.) Here you have a t-shirt where you can see the design and it does not take up a lot of room.
Here are my results:
The end result:
A t-shirt drawer that is organized so I can see every t-shirt I have! No more digging in the bottom! I loved it so much I did all my other drawers. As you can see it frees up a lot of room as well!
I say: DO IT!
I finally finished painting my kitchen cabinets! Here is the end result. (bigger pictures follow)
I have been eyeing DIY projects in where people were painting their kitchen counters. I had old pinkish laminate counter tops that I hated. Eventually, I will replace them so my philosophy is “It’s worth a try.”
Edit: It is 2/21/2017 (5 years later) and I still have the painted counter tops and they still are holding up and look good.
Prior to beginning I went to the local hardware store and found a counter top sample chip of what I wanted my counter top to look like. From this sample, I picked out 4 colors to use for my counter tops. In my example, the black is the base color and then I picked three other colors: gray, silver, and white. The black is a high gloss paint and the three other colors I got from an art store and they are acrylic paint.
